Professional Recuitment Branches Into South West

Professional Recruitment, founded six years ago in Cardiff by group managing director Paul Clutton, has become one of the most comprehensive and experienced middle and senior level recruitment service providers in Wales.
The launch of a Bristol office marks the company’s strategy to both grow its core business and, importantly, increase its geographical penetration across the UK.
The company – which specialises in placing qualified professionals for permanent and interim management roles within the £40,000 to £100,000 bracket – has appointed Claire Howell and Hilary Pearson to head up the South West operation, based at Aztec West.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Claire has worked for high profile names, including Jonathan Wren (an Adecco group company) and most recently, Robert Half where, as regional director, she held overall responsibility for £30million worth of the company’s UK business.
Hilary, who has a strong expertise recruiting within general insurance and financial services will be working with Claire to build a comprehensive database of key contacts and targets as the company looks to further expand into new sectors across the region.
Paul Clutton said: “The past 12 months has seen exceptional growth for Professional Recruitment with the appointment of new, experienced consultants, increased market penetration and the opening of a Bristol office at Aztec West.

Speaking about the launch of the Bristol operation, Claire said that more than 30 years of combined industry experience was already proving as asset in attracting the right clients.
“Both Hilary and myself have a great deal of experience within both the recruitment sector itself and the South West region – which we see as stretching beyond Bristol, into Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon and Cornwall.
“We’re ideally placed on the M4/M5 motorway interchange to draw from a significant pool of potential candidates, especially as top end appointments are generally more flexible geographically.
“As well as branching into new sectors, we also want to hit the SME market, positioning Professional Recruitment firmly as the solution to their senior level recruitment issues.”
