A Bridgend park will be turning pink and blue for the day to help fight breast and prostate cancer in Wales.
The Cancer Research Wales Pink-a-Blue Walk, in association with the Bridgend Rotary Club, is taking place on Sunday, May 19 at Bryngarw Park in Bridgend.
Everyone signed up for the 3 mile family walk has been asked to wear either pink, to represent the research into breast cancer, or blue to show support of prostate cancer research – two of the most common cancers affecting people in Wales.
Liz Andrews, Deputy Fundraising Director at Cancer Research Wales said: “20,000 men and women will be diagnosed with prostate or breast cancer in Wales every year.
“The money we raise will fund a Welsh-based research project into anti-cancer drugs to fight both terrible illnesses.”
The Pink-a-Blue walk starts at 10am and free car parking is available.
