Alternative Glimpse of the Future

By admin

Issued on behalf of Ideal Business Show Wales

Business executives and entrepreneurs are being offered an alternative glimpse of the future at the Ideal Business Show Wales – tarot card readings for their company.

Welsh psychic and paranormal investigator Gavin Cromwell will offer free readings to people visiting the Grainger Group’s stand at the Millennium Stadium show on June 13th and 14th.

It’s just one of the unusual attractions the exhibitors – now totalling 130 in number – are using to make an impact at Wales biggest business event

“It works for businesses just as it does for individuals,” said Gavin, who’s based in Porthcawl but has clients all over the UK including celebrity clients including 2006 Miss Great Britain Preeti Desai.

“It will be a 12-month forecast taking just five or 10 minutes. The customer focuses on any questions they want answering – perhaps a particular aspect of their business, such as finance or a proposal that’s come up during the show that they need a second opinion on before agreeing to it.

“They shuffle the pack and divide it into three and I take the top cards off each. I’ll explain how I interpret the cards as I go along but what they’re left with is a description of what state the business is in and where it’s going if they continue down the same road.”

On other stands exhibitors are offering a range of free services, such as Abercynon-based copywriters EarthMonkey Media who are giving visitors the chance to get their company literature professionally assessed.

Others are mixing business with pleasure, like Cardiff-based Pinnacle Xerox who will demonstrate the speed and sharpness of their latest Xerox printer by offering potential customers 3m high posters of themselves at photographic quality. They’ll also have a state of the art colour digital print system on display – and a couple of World Championship superbikes – sponsored by Xerox – for good measure.

And others, such as internet, software and e-marketing firm ComGem and the Microsoft award-winning SEO Site Builder – both from Cardiff Bay – will be using the show to unveil and launch new products.

But Gavin’s tarot readings will be sure to raise the biggest eyebrow among visitors to the show.

“They are done in privacy and there’s absolutely nothing to worry about,” said Gavin.

“You hear all sorts of horror stories, like deaths being forecast, but tarot readings don’t work like that – the death card doesn’t mean ‘someone’s going to die’.

“The worst card you could get is the 10 of swords which could mean ‘if you carry on down this road your business is going to be in trouble’ – and that’s actually a pretty useful thing to know. It gives owners and executives the chance to change direction.”

You can meet him at stand 78 at the Ideal Business Show Wales in the Millennium Stadium on June 13th and 14th.
