Ideal Business Show Targets London Execs

Issued on behalf of Ideal Business Show Wales

THE biggest board-based event for small and medium-sized businesses in London has been re-branded and will go ahead later this summer.

Ideal Business Show London takes the place of the B2B London event which ran last year.

More than 100 exhibitors – many of whom took part in last year’s show – are expected at the two-day event in Earls Court 2 on June 26th and 27th. The show itself has been billed as the most important two days in the business diaries of every small and medium-sized company in London.

Ideal Business Show aims to provide owners, directors and entrepreneurs with the chance to take away with them a fund of ideas, advice and inspiration to help build their own businesses – together with the ideal opportunity to meet potential new customers.

It is supported by the Institute of Direct Marketing and Capital Enterprise, the body for enterprise support in London. The media partner is accelerator, a new magazine for entrepreneurs from the Management Today stable that launched in March. And Business Scene is the digital media partner.

Inspirational speakers and seminars are expected to draw crowds while individual exhibitors will arrange their own speakers, events, displays and product launches.

John Blaskey, managing director of The Exhibiting Agency and one of the UK’s leading exhibition consultants and strategists, believes live marketing of this kind is essential to all businesses but warns that exhibitors should not overwhelm visitors – less is more.

“Exhibitions like this are all about ‘flirting’ with a potential client – and the date comes later,” he said.

Around 5,000 entrepreneurs, business-owners and decision makers visited the show last year.

Event director Charles Troy said: “It is quite clear from the feedback and support that has been shown by exhibitors, partners and sponsors that this event is needed and wanted by SMEs in London.

“My team and I have been working closely with the business community to ensure we deliver a first class event which will become an integral part of the marketing calendar for all businesses right across the capital.”

Ideal Business Show London managing director Mark James said: “The ability to share experiences and learn from others in business is absolutely key to the survival and growth of any new enterprise, and sharing that common goal to succeed will be one of the most valuable aspects of Ideal Business Show London.”
