One of the UK’s leading female entrepreneurs, Sahar Hashemi, will be speaking at Ideal Business Show Wales in the Millennium Stadium on Wednesday June 13th.
Sahar, the founder of Coffee Republic chain with a turnover of more than £30m a year, will be speaking at 11am before going on to be grilled by no-nonsense broadcaster John Humphrys at the Business Lunch that day.
The lawyer turned entrepreneur wrote a best-selling book called ‘Anyone Can Do It’, which became the 2nd highest selling book on entrepreneurship ever published in the UK (after Richard Branson’s), according to Nielsen Bookscan.
She has also been named as ‘Pioneer to the life of the Nation’ by HM The Queen, ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum in Davos and named in the 20 most powerful women in Britain by the Independent on Sunday. And in 2005 she launched Skinny Candy, a high profile brand of sugar-free sweets.
Sahar has taken the place of Ann Summers’ chief executive Jacqueline Gold who has had to withdraw from the Ideal Business Show Wales because of illness.
