City Players Hope to Run Faster on Gio’s Pasta

By admin

Issued on behalf of Conti’s Restaurant

BLUEBIRDS-BARMY restaurant owner Giovanni Malacrino will be hosting a table of special sporting guests for lunch this season.

Cardiff City season ticket holder Giovanni has invited the entire Bluebirds first team squad for a light pasta lunch at his Conti’s restaurant in Mill Lane, Cardiff, on the day before every home game.

For the first few months of last season the team and manager Dave Jones lunched at Giovanni’s restaurant on the eve of every Championship match – and they kept on winning.

The success sparked a series of big screen ads at Ninian Park which read: City Players Run Faster on Gio’s Pasta! And this season – despite last Saturday’s first fixture defeat – Giovanni is hoping his pasta will help to fire the team to glory.

The businessman, who also owns Number 10 nightclub, said: “Cardiff needs a Premiership football club and I will do all I can to help the club achieve that goal.”
