The Vale Resort, Wales’ leading 4 star independent hotel, golf and spa resort, has unveiled plans for one of the largest state-of-the-art conference facilities in Wales, which will open at the end of 2007.
The £1 million development of a new conference centre will link the existing hotel with the leisure club and is due for completion in December. The new centre, covering almost 12,000 square feet, will provide conferencing facilities for up to 520 delegates – making it one of only a handful of conference centres in Cardiff offering such a large capacity alongside first class leisure, dining and accommodation facilities that are on site.
The main conference room can accommodate 520 seated delegates for a large scale conference, 330 for a dinner dance and 430 for a sit down dinner. This area can also be broken down into smaller sections, allowing for two or three events to be hosted at the same time.
The new centre will also boast state-of-the-art new media presentation equipment, be fully air conditioned, have access to natural daylight as well as a new bar and restaurant facility directly linked to the centre.
Paul Beddoe, Marketing Director for the Vale Resort says; “This exciting new development will add another string to our bow as we seek to lead the way in providing much needed conferencing facilities in South Wales. There are only a handful of venues in Wales that can cater for corporate conferencing and entertaining at this level.
“VisitWales and Cardiff Council have both reported a steady increase in the number of enquiries for conference venues to host 300+ delegates in and around Cardiff in the last year or so, and very few places are able to deliver on that.
“We are delighted to be bringing these exciting new facilities to Wales and feel this is an area we are uniquely placed to take advantage of with the development of Hensol Castle providing a five star hotel and self catering villas also underway.”
