Lucky Numbers Open the Door for Lotto Success

Issued on behalf of Camelot

A mum from Blaina is celebrating being given the keys to a whole new life – after winning a staggering £2,443,024 in this Saturday’s Lotto ( 8 September 2007).

Susan Wall (53) and her husband of 36 years, Jeffrey (55), discovered they had won their share of Saturday night’s jackpot as Jeffrey was busy laying a new floor in their family home in Blaina, Abertillery.

Parents to Sharon (36), Donna (33) and Paul (30), homemaker Susan and gas and water mains foreman Jeffrey, have played the Lottery religiously since it began and play on average 7 lines each draw. But it was Susan’s novel method of using family member’s house numbers that has really opened the door to a whole new life for the couple.

Susan explained: “We have a few sets of numbers all based on different things, but it’s our families’ addresses that have proved the lucky ones for us.

“It is a massive relief to win this amount of money-we have always played the lottery but never really thought we would ever be millionaires. I didn’t think it happened to normal people but we are proof that it does. It’s just amazing.

Susan added: “I can’t quite believe this has happened and it’s really only now starting to sink in. At the moment the only thing that I know I will buy is a new car-I have my eye on a new VW Golf but apart from that I’m not sure-though I’m confident that the children will have a few ideas.”

The winning Lotto ticket was bought at the Co-Op store on High Street in Blaina. The winning Lotto numbers on Saturday night were 4, 10, 20, 24, 39, 49.
