The brand communications agency Stills has had more success carving out a niche for itself in the Welsh organic food and drink sector.
The Cardiff-based business has successfully developed a premium butter label for the organic Welsh farmers’ co-operative, Calon Wen.
This project is the company’s latest foray into the organic food and drink sector. In recent months Stills has created bottle labels for Newport-based Clark’s Foods’ organic fruit drinks, brand identity and packaging for organic meat producers Cambrian Organics, designed a website for Brains brewery and several beer identities for brewers Evan Evans. It has also developed a brand visual identity and innovative school milk eco-pouches for North Wales dairy Tomlinson’s.
Among other recent projects, the company has rebranded kitchen and bedroom manufacturer Sigma3 and designed the creative behind the launch of the XFM South Wales franchise.
With a growing workload, it has taken on five new staff in the last six months taking the team at one of Wales’s longest established agencies to 14 people.
Graphic designer Vicki Ashurst, production assistant Ceri Mears, production manager Kat Marsh and interactive designer Laura Sorvala all joined the company last summer. Anna Lewis followed them as Business Development Manager to continue to build Stills’ presence across the UK.
James Horsham, Stills marketing director, said: “Our work is very diverse but we seem to have made significant inroads into the food and drink industry. We’ve forged good relationships and we’re already talking to other businesses in the sector with more exciting opportunities ahead.”
Stills managing director Chris Carpenter said: “Branding and design work is booming in Wales but we are continuing to pick up contracts across the whole of the UK – often as a result of personal recommendation.”
