This one’s ‘All About Eve’

By admin

Women from across South Wales and the Valleys are in store for a big girlie treat this Autumn as Caerphilly plays host to ‘All About Eve’ – the first fashion and beauty event of its kind in South Wales.

The event will take place in a purpose built marquee in the grounds of the Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa on November 16, it will offer women the chance to get expert advice and ideas from professional hair and makeup artists, styling tips from boutique and High Street fashion retailers, and manicures and nail care from top salons in South Wales.

Trends hot from the catwalks will be on show throughout the afternoon alongside fashion shows featuring workwear with a difference introduced by Angela Gidden, a lingerie show and bra fitting surgery by Bella’s Lingerie in Pontypridd, inspirational designs by Coleg Gwent students and the season’s must-have accessories from Chilichic handmade jewellery.

And at last there’ll be no more excuses for burnt fingers or crooked curls as Vanilla Rooms owner Jasmin Mann-stylist to the ultimate Queen of reinvention Madonna herself- lets everyone in the top tips of the trade.

Sponsored by ‘The Best of Caerphilly’ over 30 stalls will be displaying and selling their collections including Cardiff boutique stores Seren and Lunacy, uber-cool City Surf, Barkers in Blackwood, Bargoed-based stockists of designer shoes and handbags Regis, The Body Shop, and The Pamper Haven.

Presented by South Wales’ dedicated follower of fashion, Wenda James-Rowe from The Style Team, the afternoon will also offer visitors a chance to measure up in a bra fitting challenge and limber up for a taster session in Burlesque or pole dancing.

Caerphilly Business Forum event officer Jo Braham explains: “We’ve already experienced a real buzz for All About Eve, which is shaping up to be a must-attend event for women of all ages who enjoy looking for new ideas on what to wear and how to put ideas together.

“All of the profit from the money that we raise on the door will go to Save The Children, so for once shopping and spoiling yourself can be a totally guilt free pleasure.”

The event takes place on Sunday 16 November. Tickets can be purchased for £5 in advance or £7.50 on the door, with the first 500 guests receiving a free goodie bag. The event is supported by L’Oreal, National Britannia, Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel & Spa, Rose-Innes Designs, Vanilla Rooms, and Carrick.
