Thomas George expands expert team

Cardiff Estate and Lettings Agent Thomas George has further expanded its specialist team with the appointment of experienced property consultant, Catherine Maunder.
A former European Partner and Department Head for Knight Frank (residential) in South Wales, Catherine will work for the Churchill-Way based company on a consultancy basis, bringing with her twenty-five years’ industry experience and a vast knowledge of the market as a whole.
Having also worked for Knight Frank in both London and Bristol, Catherine has a UK-wide understanding of the sector and, having witnessed the effects of previous recessions during her career, is well-placed to view the marketplace and respond accordingly.
Speaking about her latest role, Catherine said:
“There’s no doubt it is a challenging time and that makes experience count more than ever as we look for solutions to help us negotiate this difficult marketplace.
“At Thomas George, it’s clearly working because the company has enjoyed a fantastic quarter – 30% up on the last – with many properties sold within less than a fortnight of going on the market.
“Whilst people are still trying to talk down the market, those of us on the ground are experiencing renewed interest, particularly from those with disposable cash unable to be used effectively elsewhere.
“It’s actually a very exciting time and I’m pleased to be working with such a well-established company as Thomas George as we look towards increasingly positive times ahead.”
Thomas George founder and Principal, Thomas George, added:
“It certainly is more important than ever to have experienced individuals such as Catherine having an input into the business and I’m delighted that she has chosen to work with us on an ongoing basis.
“As well as her vast knowledge of the industry, Catherine has also built up an excellent reputation and we’re looking forward to working together to continue to build on the success we’re currently enjoying.”
