New Regional Director appointed at IoD Wales
By Effective Communication
Marketing and communications expert Robert Lloyd Griffiths has been appointed as the Institute of Directors’ (IoD) Regional Director for Wales.
Robert, 43, from Cardiff becomes the youngest person to be appointed to the role and has taken over the role with immediate effect.
Having previously held senior positions at communications agency Golley Slater, and most recently as marketing and communications director at law firm Leo Abse & Cohen, Robert has more than 20 years’ experience advising businesses and public sector organisations throughout Wales on their marketing and communications strategies.
Based at the IoD Wales head office on Park Place in Cardiff, Robert will now begin work to further strengthen the position of the IoD as the voice and support organisation for businesses across Wales even further.
Speaking of his appointment, Robert Lloyd Griffiths said: “This is a particularly challenging time for businesses of all sizes and from every sector across Wales. Very few businesses have escaped the effects of the current recession and, as a result, the role of an established body like the Institute of Directors has never been more relevant as businesses seek support networks and guidance opportunities.
“I am very excited about developing the role of the IoD in Wales, and strengthening its dynamic position as the foundation for businesses across all sectors in Wales.”
Welcoming Robert Lloyd Griffiths’ appointment, IoD Wales Chair Gareth Williams said: “We are delighted that Robert has been appointed as IoD Wales Regional Director. His appointment comes at a time when a number of issues face our members and their companies.
“Robert’s appointment will play an integral role in the IoD Wales’ aim to continually work with, and develop policy and measures to ensure that we support our members and their businesses in Wales.”
