Welsh social housing provider Grŵp Gwalia has reached the final of a leading UK wide procurement award – with the final held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London in September.
The social housing provider, which has its headquarters on the Kingsway in Swansea and employs around 800 staff across Wales, has been named in the top four companies in the purchasing category at the annual industry accredited Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Supply Management Awards.
Grŵp Gwalia is up competing against three companies in the ‘Best Purchasing Initiative by a Smaller Organisation’ category, and is the only Welsh public sector company to be recognised in this category, it is hoped its recent achievements will be acknowledged in the Awards on the 9th September.
Tracey Healey, Director of Procurement & Business Management for Grŵp Gwalia, said: “It is a great achievement for the staff at Grŵp Gwalia to have been recognised in the CIPS Awards, which in itself is a real credit to the hard work and determination of the staff to continually develop and improve the efficiency of our processes for our customers.”
