The Caerphilly Business Forum has strengthened its position at the heart of local trade following the appointment of two local business figures to the Forum’s committee.
Ross Porter and Dave Bolton have joined the independent team which aims to support businesses and networking in the Caerphilly County Borough area.
Following the appointment of new chair Martyn Fear and vice chair Andrew Diplock earlier in the year, the Forum has continued to increase its activities to work with and for the businesses in the area.
Ross Porter, 37, founder and director of The Draig Group, which employs over 300 people across South Wales from its businesses Draig Personnel, Draig Training and Draig Print. Ross is already an active member of the local business community and will assist the Forum in encouraging businesses to utilise local trade where possible.
Dave Bolton, regional manager for Venture Wales, where he is responsible for business mentoring and marketing for Venture Wales clients as well as internally for the company. Dave will assist with the Forum’s ongoing marketing and promotion strategy and liaise with both new and existing members.
Caerphilly Business Forum chair Martyn Fear, said: “This is a very exciting time for the Forum. We have undergone a significant expansion over the past seven months, and have our annual business awards to look forward to in November. The appointment of two new committee members is the latest phase in our continued development.
“The Caerphilly Business Forum is looking to the future and the work that it can do to represent the voices of local business owners, and the appointment of both Ross and Dave will take us a long way towards achieving that.”
