Wales 0-3 Scotland, Torgyglen Indoor National Centre

Wales Development U16 Girls Squad have helped make history – taking part in the first ever international football match at the all new Toryglen Regional Football Centre in Glasgow.
The Welsh girls started brightly with midfielders Sadie Mansell and Angharad James making several goal attempts, but the Scottish goalkeeper stood firm and Wales were unable to find the net.
As the game progressed Scotland began to find openings and Zoe Ness scored just before half time, and made it two early in the second half. After the break Wales introduced substitutes Rhian Cleverley, Demi Edwards, Chelsea Doherty, Gwennan Davies and Chloe O’Connor, but it was Scotland who struck again just before the final whistle to make it 3-0.
Wales coach Colin Staples, who was supported by fellow coach Carl Darlington and technical director Osian Roberts, said: “The girls showed good character and continued playing in the style asked of them. They have shown that the information they are receiving in their development as players is having a positive effect for the long term”.
