The Truro branch of the West Country’s leading recruitment agency is marking the midpoint of the year with a celebration following six months of award wins and new contracts.
Truro’s Concept Staffing started the year being crowned ‘Branch of the Year’ at the company’s annual conference. More than 40 people attended the conference at the City Gate Hotel in Exeter to see the highflying branch pick up the accolade.
Area Sales Manager, Donna Barnes, said: “I am really proud of our team in Truro. 2009 was a difficult year for the recruitment industry, but the first six months of 2010 have shown encouraging signs of a recovery.”
Concept’s Truro branch has gained major contracts with several new clients in the Cornwall area including Cornish Country Larder. Concept supplies the dairy producer with temporary workers at their Newquay creamery.. Donna said: “The Cornish Country Larder is just one of several new clients we have won since January. The contract sees us supplying temporary workers; a trend that we have seen increase significantly recently.”
Speaking about the rest of the year, Donna said: “Our plans for the next six months are to ensure our client base is sustainable and that the service we offer cannot be matched.
“I’m aiming to make Truro the best it can be and increase Concept’s profile throughout Cornwall.”
Concept operates from 11 locations throughout the South West. As part of the Acorn Recruitment Group, the company finds jobs for up to 6,000 temps with more than 850 different clients each week.
