Waunarlwydd RFC renew key sponsor deal
By Andy Pearson
A THRILLING season for Waunarlwydd RFC’s senior squad has been topped by the renewal of a key sponsorship deal.
The club’s 2009-10 campaign saw them promoted from Swalec League Two West to Swalec League One West, the second tier of Welsh club rugby. They won 14 of their 22 league games.
Now, sponsor Baron Grey Solicitors, of Richmond, London, have confirmed another season’s shirt sponsorship.
Baron Grey owner Vincent Grey, originally from Cockett, Swansea, said: “It gives me great pleasure to sponsor my local rugby team. Waunarlwydd RFC is a high-quality community-focused club with thriving junior, youth, veterans, womens and senior sections.
“I congratulate the first team on achieving promotion and look forward to supporting them next season.”
Club president Ty Davies said: “We’re delighted that a company as auspicious as Baron Grey will be backing us once again.
“Baron Grey is a high-calibre law firm which prides itself on providing a personal service to its private and business clients.
“Over the coming weeks, everybody at the rugby club will be working hard to provide players and coaches at all levels with essential support from new and renewed sponsorship and commercial hook-ups.”
