Gwalia Welsh Cricket Cup – last eight

By Andy Pearson

The draw for the quarter finals of the Gwalia Welsh Cricket Cup took place in Swansea.

The remaining North Wales teams were drawn together, meaning no significant travelling for their last-eight clashes due to be played on Sunday 25 July.

Llandudno and Hawarden Park play their final zone match this Sunday (11 July) and the winners will entertain Pontblyddyn in the quarters. All three are members of the North Wales Premier League, with Llandudno heading the table.

In the south, there will be an all SWALEC Premier League clash between Newport and Ammanford. Sully Centurions, who top the league, will host South Wales Cricket Association Division One club Briton Ferry Steel.

Swansea, at the foot of the SWALEC Premier League, have been drawn away to South Wales Cricket Association Division One’s Gowerton.

The Gwalia Welsh Cricket Cup quarter final draw: Llandudno or Hawarden Park v Pontblyddyn; Newport v Ammanford; Sully Centurions v Briton Ferry Steel; Gowerton v Swansea.
