‘Strictly’ ladies only for Martyn Williams testimonial bash

By Effective Communication

RUGBY legend Martyn Williams will be swapping his rugby boots for dancing shoes this summer, as he prepares for a glittering event as part of his testimonial year.

The Wales flanker, star of two Grand-Slam winning teams, will be centre stage of a different kind this autumn, at a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ themed Ladies Night event, at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.

The event, on Wednesday 22nd September, will be hosted by TV presenter Gethin Jones, who previously starred in the BBC series, and will also feature other special guests from the world of entertainment and sport.

Guests at the event will also be treated to a three course meal, as well as raucous games and other entertainment throughout the evening.

Event organiser Cara Roberts said the Ladies Night was set to be one of the biggest events of the testimonial year.

She said: “The event is certain to be a fantastic night out for any groups of ladies looking for an evening with a difference.”

“It’s also a great opportunity to support Martyn and his chosen testimonial charities, Velindre Hospital and the NSPCC. We know Martyn has a whole host of loyal female fans, and we wanted an event to cater to that audience during the testimonial year.”

“We can promise an evening of great food, drink and entertainment; there will be plenty of surprise guest appearances on the night, and this is also a chance to see Welsh rugby stars as you’ve never seen them before!”

Martyn Williams said: “I’m not well known for my dancing ability, but I’ve been assured that by September I’ll be able to hold my own on the dance floor! I’d like to thank all my sponsors and patrons for their support for the testimonial year so far, and I’m looking forward to another eventful evening at the Strictly Ladies Night.”
