IOD Wales: New profile raisers
By Andy Pearson
The IoD Wales has just announced a lively looking programme of events for the coming months.
They’re great profile-raisers for those who attend and can be diaried in as a key PR function.
After today’s hotly anticipated Christmas lunch at the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay – when guest speaker is young Welsh adventurer Tori James – there comes an evening bash on February 2.
This features guest speaker Bob Norster, chief executive of Cardiff Blues, and takes place at the rugby region’s home, the Cardiff City Stadium.
Legends
Two days later, the oval ball theme continues with a Lions Legends Lunch.
Warning: there are only two tables left.
The event will see Welsh Lions join the IoD and London Welsh RFC and business club guests for recollections over lunch at the Village Hotel, Cardiff.
Bank
On March 2, there’s an evening event with guest speaker Neil Ashbridge, of the Bank of England. Venue: Park House Club, Cardiff.
Eight days later, a Young Directors Breakfast Seminar takes place at the Village Hotel, Cardiff.
Guest speaker is James Taylor, MD of SportStars, and there’ll also be a panel of experts.
Speaker
March 11 brings a business lunch at the Park House Club, with guest speaker Gerald Holtham, of Cadwyn Capital, and March 29 offers a site Visit to Shaefler UK, a light lunch and a talk by Roger Evans.
April’s attractions include the Director of the Year Awards at the Mercure Holland House Hotel, Cardiff, and a pre-election hustings breakfast at the St David’s Hotel.
May brings the IoD annual convention in London.
