Businesses team up for sky-high PR

By Andy Pearson

It was good to be in the company of SA Brain CEO Scott Waddington.

He proved to be an engaging personality as he addressed a business awards event hosted by the South Wales Evening Post and Swansea Bay Business Life.

The talk touched on the brewing and pubs industry and Brain’s ongoing marketing success with the Wales rugby squad.

Naturally, he also gave a glowing account of Swansea’s new Grape and Olive venue, the Brains standard-bearer atop Swansea’s Meridian Quay tower.

Whiteout

Evening Post MD Blanche Sainsbury even presented Scott with a montage of attractive Post photography taken over a whiteout city during last month’s snows.

She urged him to display it on a wall at the Grape.

Coincidentally, I’ll be making my debut at the Grape on February 7.

The event? A networking and taster evening hosted by trade organisation Tourism Swansea Bay.

Supplier

Cross Hands-based Castell Howell Foods – a key Brains supplier – will also be there in force.

Chefs, restaurant owners, cafe proprietors and hoteliers are expected to attend and, importantly, there’ll be chance to try some new Castell Howell products.

Let’s hope Scott’s managed to put up the Evening Post photo masterpiece.
