Lord’s Taverners to host Rugby Lunch

By Effective Communication

WALES V IRELAND CLASH

The Lord’s Taverners Wales region will host a Six Nations lunch on the eve of Wales’ clash against Ireland.

The event, on Friday 11 March, will see the Park Plaza Hotel in Cardiff divided in to Wales and Ireland supporters with Guinness and Brains being the drinks of the day.

Guests at the dinner will be treated to a sumptuous three course meal, as well as a charity auction and raffle held on the evening. Entertainment will be provided from the likes of top Irish comedian Dusty Young, with former Wales captain and Wales’s most capped hooker Garin Jenkins reciting rugby tales. Music will be supplied by a traditional Irish kaylee band.

Ed Meggitt, chairman of The Lord’s Taverners Wales Region, said: “We’re really looking forward to this lunch. With both Welsh and Irish supporters there it should be a really good atmosphere and a great build up to the match itself.”

A drinks reception before the lunch will start at 12:30 with food being served at 1pm. Tickets cost £50, with all profits going to the Lord’s Taverners charity to help give young people a sporting chance.

The Lord’s Taverners Wales Region has raised more than £500,000 for disadvantaged children thanks to their charity events. For more information, or to book your tickets please contact Lisa Williams on lwilliams@effcom.co.uk or 02920 646860.
