Danny’s back on the airwaves

Radio man Leighton Jones yesterday gave another warm welcome to Danny Illingworth, pictured in the studio.
The Swansea Sound presenter had invited the head chef of Swansea’s Village Hotel back to offer some new recipe ideas for listeners.
The pair’s original hook-up came at Christmas when Danny appeared on Leighton’s mid-morning show for a month of festive dinner recipes.
Favourites
Yesterday it was the turn of more favourites with regulars at the Village’s Verve restaurant. The recipes recorded for use through April included bubble and squeak, cauliflower cheese and an exquisite dessert with a Welsh twist – bara brith and butter pudding.
It was expertly delivered by Danny whose fabulous career as a chef has taken him to some of Wales’ top kitchens. They include the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay and the Village Hotel north of Cardiff.
