XS sounds out top talent

Those ambitious radio folk at Wales’ XS community station are on the hunt for an enthusiastic big gun.
The station – Afan FM until the end of last year – is advertising for a project manager.
There’s likely to be brisk interest, with an attractive salary on offer, lots of potential and the promise of much fun.

The job ad states: “XS is looking for an outstanding project manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the radio station.”
Duties will include overseeing the operation of all facets of the station, ensuring tight control and monitoring of revenue and expenditure and helping to improve revenue generation.
The new recruit will also present the daily Drivetime show and work to develop the station’s online platforms.
Experience of working in broadcasting will be useful along with knowledge of related software and experience of managing a team.
