It’s strictly fun for Swansea Villagers

By Effective Communication

Andrew Petherick, general manager of Swansea’s Village Hotel, was asked by Swansea City to provide a meeting point before the club’s Premiership victory parade.

The club’s two open-top buses – one for the first team squad, one for trophy-winning youth players – set off from the SA1 Waterfront hotel before the city centre parade’s official start.

Mr Petherick said: “Our staff were thrilled to have these fantastic players here and to offer them a red carpet boarding onto the buses. Many of our guests were delighted to be able to brush shoulders with Premiership starts too.

“Brendan Rodgers and his whole squad have been wonderful ambassadors for Swansea in the way they play and the way they behave away from matchday.

“We offered them a quiet room here to enjoy a little time together, some snacks and drinks.

“I think they came to us partly because we delivered a huge good luck card to the squad on the day of the semi-final second leg; it had been signed by hundreds of guests, staff, restaurant visitors and leisure club members. The club told us they really appreciated that.”
