Radio crew’s business briefing

By Andy Pearson

Local radio stations The Wave and Swansea Sound are about to showcase their offerings to the Swansea Bay business community.

For a whole week, key personnel will take up residence at Swansea’s seafront Marriott Hotel and make presentations to potential advertisers and associates.

Those involved include Helen Bowden, head of the stations which this week have turned their normally bright red websites black and white to mark Swansea City’s promotion to the Premier League.

Discussions

The event begins on Monday, June 20, and will involve discussions with small groups of businesspeople.

Up to 500 enterprises are expected throughout the five days. There’s the promise of advertiser videos set to start soon.

Temptations to attend include half-price ad campaigns, the promise that some key “secrets of radio” will be revealed and free  places in the broadcaster’s Proud to be Local business directory.

Maximising

One station exec told me: “The message is all about how business can go about maximising potential through working with us.

“Each session will be small and personal; those we have invited are largely managing directors, marketing directors and owner-managers so the calibre of attendee will be high.”
