The Swansea-Cork ferry is back for the summer – and newspapers at the terminus cities are looking for it to boost business.
The South Wales Evening Post and Irish Examiner have come together to offer a sales opportunity for businesses wishing to explore or improve upon international trade.
On June 30 the Examiner will publish a supplement – Discover South West Wales – full of useful info about Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Supplement
A reciprocal supplement, all about southern Ireland, is due to appear in the Post tomorrow (Wednesday, June 22).
The Post’s Dawn Thomas tells me: “We ran a similar, successful campaign last year’s.
“Our partnership with the Examiner is being developed to capitalise on the ferry.
Offer
“June 30’s Examiner supplement will show what south west Wales has to offer visitors.
“As the ferry is now well established there are opportunities to focus on Swansea and indeed for destinations further afield.
“The supplement will be a mix of advertising and editorial and is designed to be an ideal platform to promote a Welsh business to Examiner readers.
Benefit
Hotels, guest houses and attractions wiull be among those to benefit.”
Some advertising prices: Back page £750; full page £650; half page £450.
