An award-winning Welsh food festival has announced its return for 2011 and is set to be bursting with more flavours than ever before.
The Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival will take place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October this year and has announced some exciting new exhibitors including ‘Candy Fleece’ makers, falafels and flans. They join the usual popular mix of culinary treats, Champagne Marquee and food demonstrations.

The Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival has grown from a one day event with 40 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors to a whole weekend attracting 80 exhibition stands and over 20,000 visitors. Taking to the stage this year will be published chef Elisabeth Luard demonstrating how to use local produce and discussing her new book ‘A Cook’s Year In A Welsh Farmhouse’. Dragon’s Den’s Martin’s Jerked Meats will also make a welcome return displaying its latest unusual jerky offerings.
Last year saw the festival pick up an award for the Best Community Event at the prestigious National Tourism Awards.

John Davies, Chairman of the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival said: “The festival’s profile and footfall has grown year-on-year, with visitors travelling miles to experience everything that that Cowbridge has to offer.
“Traders come from across the UK to showcase their produce and we have street entertainers to create an even fuller experience and cater to every taste, not just the foodies in the family.
“I’d like to thank our funders for their continued support which helps us to surpass visitor’s expectations every year.”
