Newport health boost for positive lifestyle
By Effective Communication
Fitness equipment has been bought by a Newport support project thanks to donations of £900 from the Monmouthshire Building Society and £280 from Sports Wales.
In2Change support worker Steven Phillis said: “Through exercise we want our clients to realise their potential, grow in confidence and achieve their goals.

“As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, the equipment helps them develop as individuals and make a positive contribution to our community.”
Client Matthew Pile said: “The gym has allowed us to make a positive change in our lives.”
Staff at In2Change, for those with alcohol and drug difficulties, applied for funding to set up the health suite. The equipment includes free weights and a treadmill.
Gwalia Care and Support and In2change thanked Monmouthshire Building Society’s Charitable Foundation and Sports Wales for their contributions.
