Alastair launched Effective Communication in 2004 after enjoying huge success in the media industry.
He was the award-winning editor of the South Wales Echo, deputy editor of the Western Mail, and was also an award-winning young reporter early in his career.
Since launching the company Alastair has developed the services offered to clients to reflect the changes in the media and Effective Communication now provides an increased range of services which include press and media relations, marketing including print and design, website development, social marketing, training and public affairs.
With his media background, Alastair specialises in providing media training and crisis management.
As the company continues to grow and celebrates its 5th birthday, Alastair still believes that “the media continues to play a crucial role in any PR strategy, and our experiences and expertise mean that we are able to generate many outstanding PR opportunities for our clients”.

Like Alastair, Peter enjoyed a distinguished career in the newspaper industry, and was latterly community affairs editor at the South Wales Echo.
Peter is responsible for the management of the day-to-day activities of the Effective Communication PR team, ensuring that every client receives the high quality service the agency has quickly been recognised for.
Peter is also hands on and heads up major accounts such as Paratus, Principality Building Society, Camelot plc, Welsh Football Trust, Acorn and the Commonwealth Games.

Tracy has been a sales and marketing practitioner for more than 20 years, with substantial experience of several industries, including the media.
She currently provides marketing consultancy to many of our clients helping them to compile strategic marketing plans and project manages their marketing activities such as brand identity, signage, design and print, direct mail, events and advertising.
Rebranding, awareness campaigns and new business projects have recently been undertaken for Emyr Pierce Solicitors, Ty-Coch Nursing Home, W J Gardner, Peter Lynn & Partners, Kee Dental Care, Cowbridge Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Kilsby & Williams Chartered Accountants and The Orthodontic Centre.

Sarah has worked with a wide range of B2B and consumer clients during her career, and is responsible for the implementation and development of PR strategies and campaigns for a number of our clients.
Her years of experience with Effective Communication mean that many clients have developed a long-standing relationship with Sarah.
Sarah is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of a number of our clients' PR strategies and campaigns and these include Camelot plc, Careers Wales, The Lord\'s Taverners, Sing & Inspire, Cowbridge Food Festival, Principality Building Society and Spire Healthcare.

Lisa is the one who keeps the office running, providing key support to the PR and marketing team.

Helen has worked with a wide range of B2B and consumer clients during her career, and is responsible for the implementation and development of PR strategies and campaigns for a number of our clients.
Her wealth of experience within the PR sector helps to complement the agency's knowledge and skills of both the public relations and the media industries.
Helen specialises in consumer-led campaigns and is responsible for the day-to-day accounts of clients such as Town & Country Hotels, Marriott Hotel Cardiff, Douglas Willis, Careers Wales, Ludlow Street Healthcare, Llanmoor Homes, Park Plaza Hotel and Hern & Crabtree.

Simon has 20 years experience in the media including writing, producing and editing a wide range of newspapers and magazines. He also spent eight years in charge of the digital operation at Media Wales including the icWales and JobsWales websites.
Simon is responsible for our new media strategy and can advise clients on a range of new media options that go hand-in-hand with our existing services.
These include video and audio podcasts, blogs, e-newsletters, search engine optimisation, social media marketing and other web publishing.
Recent projects have included the development of a European-wide website for Geesink Norba and website development and on-line projects for Ty-Coch Nursing Home, Emyr Pierce Solicitors, Capital Network Solutions, Douglas Willis, Darwin Gray and Multimat.

Andy is a very experienced PR and journalism professional with a great track record working with and in the South Wales media. Andy has been a trusted publicist for the private and public sector, is a commercially published author and was previously a newspaper editor.
Andy has recently joined Effective Communication and will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and development of a number of our clients' PR strategies and campaigns and these include BSS, Brewin Dolphin, Diamond Holidays, Gwalia Group, Peter Lynn & Partners, Swansea Business Club and Kee Dental Care.

Sara provides administration assistance and help with general office duties when required.

Natalie is responsible for providing vital assistance to the Account Managers and the whole team and assists with the day-to-day implementation and development of our clients' PR strategies and campaigns.
Natalie takes responsibility for research, monitoring and evaluation as well as assisting with press release activity and events.
Natalie helps with the day-to-day activities of many of our clients and these include Camelot plc, Careers Wales, Town & Country Hotels, Principality Building Society, Welsh Football Trust and Sleeperz Hotel.
